Cherry is a 1 yr old spayed female Australian Shepherd/Cattle dog mix.
Meet our energetic, goofy and fun-loving cutie, Cherry! This gorgeous Australian Shepherd/Cattledog mix is an energetic, loyal and playful pup! Cherry lacked some socialization in her previous life, so she is seeking a committed owner who will attend obedience training with her. This should help you bond with Cherry and will help with her socialization with new people and dogs. Cherry is extremely active and high energy, so an active family is a must! This cutie is no couch potato! She is the type of dog who would likely do well with agility or flyball classes. She is very toy-motivated! Cherry has expressed that she does not enjoy the company of other pets, so we are seeking an only-pet home. For this reason, we are also looking for a rural or suburban home - no apartments for her! The hustle and bustle of strangers and other dogs around would make her uncomfortable. She will bark at new people coming to the door - she will definitely alert you to stranger-danger! Given that Cherry can be uncomfortable with handling by strangers, we are seeking a home with plenty of patience to help her ease into her new lifestyle with a new family. Crate-training in her new home will be worth exploring. She gets extremely nervous at the vet, so her new veterinarian will need to be patient with her. Given that Cherry has extremely high energy needs and that she doesn't mesh well with other pets, we are looking for a home with a fenced in yard so she can have off-leash time to play fetch as she LOVES tennis balls! If you have done your Aussie research, are an active, dog-experienced family with time to commit to a new pooch, and all human companions in your home are over the age of 12 years, drop by the KHS today!
