The Australian shepherds below are not part of the ARPH program, but they need homes too. All information has been provided by private caretakers or other organizations. Please contact the person or organization specified for that dog.  Thank you.

Please note: Any adoption resulting from this listing is a matter solely between the current owner/shelter and potential adopter.

Boomer is a 1 year old red merle Australian shepherd/Border collie mix. He was surrendered simply because his owner said he was "hyper". He is supposed to be housetrained for up to 8 hours, however is also crate trained and was likely kept in a crate when the owner wasn't home. He was used to children over 10 years of age, is good with other dogs, but never been around cats or livestock. He can be a bit timid around men and may bark/growl when they stop to look at him in his cage, but is generally friendly and happy. He still needs some obedience training and like all herding breeds lots of exercise and hopefully a job to do.

No picture available Rocco is a 2 year old blue merle male Australian Shepherd. I'm a naturally playful, curious and trusting canine. Take me for a big walk every day; give me something to do. After my job's done, I'll curl up in front of the fire with you in the evenings.
